An informed source from Al-Najma Al-Sahel Club has revealed that the club has concluded its agreement with Al-Ahly regarding the transfer of Mohamed Al-Dawy ‘Christo’ to the red team during the winter transfer window next January.
The source said in exclusive statements to ‘Yalla Koura’, today, Friday, “Al-Dhawi has become out of our technical accounts in today’s friendly against Al-Rajeesh Future.”
He added: “The player has agreed with Al-Ahly to sign for 4 and a half seasons, subject to the signing taking place in the next few hours.”
For his part, another source said Al-Dawi is expected to be in Cairo next Monday.
Al-Ahly will take advantage of the current season’s registration list to register Al-Dawi, born in 2003, on the club’s youth team list without taking up a place on the foreign professional list.
And reports in the Tunisian press indicate that the value of the transaction is 1.3 million dollars, and the remaining amount in the case of Suleiman Koulibaly (former Al-Ahly player), amounting to 950,000 dollars, will be deducted from it. Thus, the Tunisian club will receive the remaining amount, estimated at about $350,000.
Christo is the top scorer in the Tunisian league, scoring 5 goals and assisting two goals in 6 games.
Al-Ahly are looking for new signings to strengthen their ranks in the winter transfer window in preparation for February’s Club World Cup in Morocco.
Al-Ahly dropped to second in the Egyptian league table with 24 points, trailing leaders Zamalek on goal difference.
