Mahmoud Fathallah, the general coach of Pyramids, confirmed his club’s adherence to the services of defender Osama Jalal, indicating that there is no intention to neglect the player during the coming period.
Osama Jalal had entered Al-Ahly’s plans during the last summer transfer period to strengthen his defense line, before the arrival of the Swiss Marcel Koehler.
Mahmoud Fathallah said, in statements to MBC Egypt, in the early hours of Friday morning, “Osama Jalal will not leave Pyramids, he is a very important defender for us, and he is the future of Egyptian football, and we adhere to him.”
He added, “Osama Jalal received offers 6 months ago, including an offer from Al-Ahly, and this is normal, but we adhere to it.”
Osama Galal’s contract with Pyramids expires in June 2024.
And about Ahmed Fathi, the team’s back, Fathallah explained, “I do not know whether Pyramids offered a management position to Ahmed Fathi during the coming period. There are things I know and cannot say because they are not within my competencies.”
Fathi’s contract with Pyramids expires at the end of the current season.
In another matter, Fathallah explained, “The national team officials requested the inclusion of 4 players from Pyramids in the current camp. I do not want to reveal the names because it is possible for the convictions of the technical staff to change at any moment.”
The technical staff of the Egyptian national team is scheduled to announce the members of the camp from the ranks of Pyramids and Future, in addition to the professionals.
The team postponed the announcement of the final list due to the association of Pyramids and Future with two matches in the 32-plus round of the African Confederation Cup.
