Amr Reda, a former player and coach of Al-Ahly and the current coach of the Bahraini Bahrain team, sent an apologetic message to the fans of the Al-Ahly club following the events that followed the match between the Red Team and Bahraini Bahrain in the quarter-finals of the Arab Championship in his 33 2nd edition, which took place in Cairo and resulted in the victory of the Bahraini team by 3-2.
After Al-Ahly’s match in the quarter-finals, there were clashes between Amr Reda, former coach of Al-Ahly and current coach of the Bahrain team, on the one hand, and a member of Al-Ahly’s technical staff, on the other.
Bahrain coach Amr Reda led his team to the final, achieving second place and a silver medal after losing the final 3-1 to Enpi, who won the Arab Club Championship.
Amr Reda, former coach of Al-Ahly and current coach of the Bahrain team, directed his message to Al-Ahly fans as follows:
To the big fans of Al-Ahli: I am Amr Reda, the captain of Al-Ahli table tennis club and its player since a child who was not yet nine years old, and his former coach.
However, this apology does not include the people who caused the termination of my livelihood and to whom my cry was directed specifically after my oppression and injustice and their conspiratorial leadership to remove me from Al-Ahli club despite all my successes and achievements and without losing a title, but rather winning the 2019 Arab Championship in Morocco without professionals.
After all, God’s word was supreme and He restored my right to me in the best possible scenario and method, for His measures are better and more generous than all the measures of servants.
