In his new autobiography Spare, Prince Harry makes a series of bombshell revelations about the royal family, including the claim that camel gave “exact details” to the press about the first meeting with the heir.
‘None [of the details] it came from Willie, of course. They could only have been leaked by the one other person present,” Harry wrote, hinting that Camilla spilled all to the press.
But royal insiders today said Telegraph that in fact Camilla’s personal secretary mistakenly shared the details and later resigned.

A source told The Telegraph that Harry is “creating a very clear narrative which is partly a combination of different versions of the story”, before going on to claim that Camilla’s personal assistant Amanda McManus was responsible for leaking details of the 1998 meeting Mr.
Camilla Parker Bowles, as she was then known, is said to have told McManus, who later told her husband, who worked in the media.
A newspaper then obtained the details from a former colleague of McManus’ husband, the source insisted.
Camilla was said to be “furious” when she discovered the leak and McManus resigned.
The assistant, who was later rehired by Camilla, said at the time: “I am very sorry for the distress this has caused. Above all, I am ashamed to have failed those who demand loyalty and trust, especially my remarkable employer, Mrs. Parker Bowles.
“I am very sorry to be leaving, but as the person responsible for this unfortunate chain of events, I cannot honorably remain in this position.”

In one extraordinary passage, the Duke of Sussex wrote: “Shortly after our personal meetings with her, she began to develop her long-term strategy, a campaign aimed at marriage and, in time, the crown (with our father’s blessing, we presume).
Charles tried to win over his sons before asking society to accept Camilla, the book claims. Harry then amazingly says that meeting the future Queen Consort for the first time was like an “injection”. He later says that he and William eventually approved of Camilla.
He writes: “I remember wondering… if she would be cruel to me; if she were like all the evil stepmothers in the stories.
In his book, which was released in SpainHarry also called William his “archenemy” and “polar opposite” and described the moment his father Charles told him their mother Diana had been killed in a car crash in Paris, MailOnline revealed.
Harry has accused his older brother of being the aggressor during Megxit, claiming their relationship had become so strained and damaged that the Prince of Wales would only “put him on”.
