Manchester City defeated its Spanish guest, Seville, 3-1, today, Wednesday, in the sixth and final round of Group G of the European Football Championship.
Manchester City raised its score to 14 points in first place, which had qualified for the round of sixteen earlier in the group stage, while Sevilla’s balance froze at five points in third place to qualify to participate in the knockout phase of the European League.
Seville had advanced through Rafael Mir Vicente in the 31st minute, before Rico Luis equalized for City in the 52nd minute.
In the 73rd minute, Julian Alvarez scored the second goal for Manchester City, while Riyad Mahrez finished his team’s hat-trick in the 83rd minute.
In another match in the same group, Copenhagen drew 1-1 with its guest, Borussia Dortmund.
Thorgan Hazard advanced for the German team in the 23rd minute, before Haakon Haraldson equalized for Copenhagen in the 41st minute.
Dortmund raised its score to nine points in second place, which secured qualification with Manchester City for the round of sixteen, while Copenhagen raised its score to three points in fourth and last place.
