Pyramids Club has revealed the truth about the offer sent by Zamalek to include the team’s playmaker, Abdullah Al-Saeed.

And the former Egypt national team playmaker previously signed for Zamalek in 2018, a deal that Al-Abiad’s administration called the “deal of the century” at the time, but ultimately did not go through.

A Pyramids source said FilGoal.com: “Zamalek has not yet made any offer to include Abdullah Al-Sayed.”

He added: “We cannot talk about the player leaving or not now because there are no negotiations on the pitch.

And he continued: “The decision on the player’s fate will be in the hands of Pyramids when the offers are available, but he is now a player with the strength of the team.”

Al Said, 37, has been at the Pyramids since joining them in a surprise deal in January 2019, following a professional spell at Al-Ahly Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.

Al-Sayed started his career at Ismaily before moving to Al-Ahly in 2011 and spending 7 seasons with them, winning every possible championship.

Al-Saed played on loan in the Finnish Cup for a short period to maintain his fitness ahead of the 2018 World Cup, amid his exclusion from Al-Ahly’s roster after his Zamalek signing came to light.

After a spell at Al-Ahly Jeddah, Al-Saeed returned to Egypt’s stadiums from Pyramids Gate and managed to make history by joining the Hundred Club in the Egyptian League.

Al Said played 55 international matches with the Egyptian national team, during which he scored 6 goals and helped them reach the final of the 2017 African Cup of Nations and the 2018 World Cup, where he scored a goal.

The Pyramids reached the final of the Egyptian Cup for the second time in their history after beating Zamalek 4-3 on penalties, after a draw in the first and extra time, with a goal for each team.

The Pyramids will play the winner of Al-Ahly and Smouha in the final match.

Notably, the Pyramids are fourth in the league with 24 points from 13 games.
