Mahmoud Hamdi “Al-Wansh”, the defender of Zamalek, said that he cried after the support he found from his club’s fans after the injury he suffered.
The winch is currently in England after he underwent surgery to treat an injury to the posterior knee tendon.
Al-Wanch spoke to the Zamalek TV channel, saying: “The doctors assured me of the operation and its success.”
And he continued, “I thank Mortada Mansour, president of Zamalek, and Amir Mortada, the general supervisor of the ball, for helping them expedite obtaining travel procedures to England for the operation, because any delay was not good.”
And he added, “No one fell short with me, and the best doctor in England was chosen to perform the surgery for me. I thank Mohamed Osama, the doctor of Zamalek, and Mohamed Abu El-Ela, the team’s doctor, for following them up daily with me.”
“Now we will check on the wound and within 48 hours I will return to Egypt for the start of the rehabilitation program,” Al Wensh continued.
The defender of Zamalek and the Egyptian national team continued, “I thank all my colleagues for reassuring me, and they are up to the responsibility. Zamalek does not stand on any player.”
And about the fans of Zamalek, Al Wensh said: “Whatever I say, I will not fulfill his right. I cried because of the support I found from them through social media, and after they came to my house.”
And he added, “I hope to return quickly to make the fans happy, because they deserve to work for them.”
And about the criticism leveled at Gusvaldo Ferreira, coach of Zamalek, he said: “He is a coach in training and I will not talk about him and evaluate him.”
