Ivorian Didier Drogba, a former Chelsea player, explained the truth about his conversion to Islam.

“The story spread quickly, but I did not change my religion,” Drogba said through his personal account on the social networking site Twitter.
“This was just out of respect for my Muslim brothers whom I was visiting in my village,” he added.
“It was a moment of brotherhood, lots of love and blessings to all,” he continued.

Drogba played for Guingamp and Marseille in France, Chelsea in England, Galatasaray of Turkey, Shanghai Shenhua of China, Montreal Impact, Phoenix Racing and Arizona United in America.
The 44-year-old won 19 championships throughout his career.
