Gareth Bale, the Wales captain and former Real Madrid star, has announced his retirement from football.

Gareth Bale wrote his retirement letter which read as follows:

“After careful and thoughtful consideration in announcing my retirement from football at international and club level, I feel very fortunate to have fulfilled my dream of playing the sport I love and it has given me some of the best moments of my life in 17 season and it will be difficult to repeat that no matter what the future holds for me.”

This comes after his participation with his country Wales at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Gareth Bale retired from football at the age of 33, after playing for some time in the American team Los Angeles.

Gareth Bale started his career in Southampton, England, and from there he moved to the ranks of Tottenham, who played with him great.

He then moved to Real Madrid in 2013, with whom he stayed until 2022.

With Real Madrid, he achieved many titles and championships, winning the Spanish League 3 times, the Spanish Cup once and the Spanish Super Cup once.

The biggest achievement for the captain of the Welsh national team is winning the European Champions League with Real Madrid 5 times, the European Super Cup 3 times and the Club World Cup 3 times.

And with Wales, Gareth Bale helped his country qualify for Euro 2016 for the first time, reaching the semi-finals.

He also featured in the Wales national team qualification for the World Cup for the second time in history during the last World Cup in Qatar.

Gareth Bale played 111 games for Wales, scoring 41 goals.
