Ashraf Abdel Aziz, lawyer for Mahmoud Abdel Moneim “Kahraba”, the Al-Ahly player, revealed that the solution to his suspension crisis was approaching within days by paying the fine imposed on him in favor of Zamalek.

Kahraba’s lawyer spoke on MBC Egypt, saying, “We will pay the fine soon, and he is currently training, everything is going well, and he will return to play again.”

He added, “Within a few days, the Kahraba crisis will end, and this is a statement on my tongue, and I am Kahraba’s lawyer. The suspension will end with the payment of the fine, and according to the penalty imposed on Kahraba, we will pay it. There is a part on him and a part on the Portuguese club.”

When asked about whether the fine imposed on Kahraba amounted to 2 million and 400 thousand dollars, he replied, “No, half of the fine is on him and the other half is on the club.”

When asked about the 5% interest rate, he answered curtly, “We will pay.”

And he added, “The electrician owes only half of the fine, and we will pay it.”

When asked what would happen if Kahraba paid the fine and the Portuguese club did not, Ashraf Abdel Aziz replied, “At that time, we will reveal the details. I will not talk more than that.”

Kahraba (28 years old) left Zamalek in July 2019, a move that was considered illegal and resulted in him being punished with a heavy fine.

Kahraba then played for several months in Desportivo Avish, then moved for free to Al-Ahly in January 2020.

Kahraba played 62 matches with Al-Ahly, during which he scored 17 goals and made 9 goals, and crowned him with the CAF Champions League, among several other titles.

However, after leaving the accounts of former coach Pitso Musimani, Kahraba went out on loan to Turkish Hatayspor, where he scored one goal with him in 12 matches he played.

And the Zamalek administration made it clear on more than one previous occasion that it had no intention of negotiating at all about scheduling the fine.
