Manchester City announced a record revenue for his club, amounting to 613 million pounds for the 2021-2022 season.
The margin for the quarter was 41.73 million pounds sterling.
This is the second highest return in the history of English football after Manchester United, who made 627 million pounds in 2019.
Last season, City won the sixth Premier League title in its history, and they all came after the Abu Dhabi Group acquired the club in 2008.
City’s revenue in the previous year did not exceed 43.2 million pounds, as most matches were played in closed stands due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The results observed between July 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022 cover a profit from the sale of players worth 67.6 million pounds, which brings the club’s profits from the sale of players to 250 million pounds over the last five years.
The club says that it received more profits, estimated at about 35 million pounds, from the agreements concluded after this date, which include the purchase of Erling Haaland, Calvin Phillips, Manuel Akanji, Stefano Ortega and Sergio Gomez, and the sale of 17 players, most notably Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Rahim Sterling.
