Have you ever paid for overly salty food and expensive drinks at Applebee’s and thought, “What if I just stayed here…forever?” Well, a bug going around in the Rick and Morty– adjacent shooter High On Life allows such a sinister fantasy to come true.

Released earlier this month for Xbox and PC, High On Life is a shooter steeped in the wacky comedy style of Rick and Morty. Developed by Squanch Games, a studio founded by Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland himself, the game is about that much strong and unpleasant as you would expect. Despite the unpleasantly bright colors and talking weapons capable of causing a headache or twothe game has rose to the top of Game Pass’ most played titles. “TRAPED IN SPACE APPLEBEES!!” started a thread on reddit On High On Lifesubreddit of Hey Boy I Like Applebee’s. Like I LOVE it. I thought Space Applebee’s would be better (AND IT IS!!) but I’m stuck inside. This is my control point trapped inside with 2 for $25 for all eternity. Does anyone know a way out?? Please help,” the post continued.

Search for “Applebee’s stuck” or “Applebee’s trapped High On Life” On or High On Lifesubreddit of, or Twitter, makes similar pleas for help. Some have even captured some footage to share the struggle.

Others who managed to escape are located teleported back to Applebee’s. “Before I got home, I saved a guy outside of Applebee’s, got accidentally teleported to the shrine, then teleported back to where I was, got killed almost instantly, and now I’m stuck in Applebee’s because the door won’t open.”

In addition to Squanch Games’ request for comment, my city reached out to Applebee’s to find out what to do if you find yourself in a similar situation.
