German coach Jurgen Klopp continued to applaud the Egyptian Mohamed Salah’s performance with Liverpool, especially after he scored two goals in the victory match yesterday evening, Sunday, at the expense of Tottenham Hotspur (2-1), in the fifteenth round of the English Premier League.
Salah managed this season, scoring 14 goals in 20 games he played with Liverpool in all official competitions, in addition to providing 5 assists.
In the press conference, the Liverpool coach highlighted what Mohamed Salah presented against Tottenham, saying: “He was a real team player, he was great, both at the offensive and defensive level.”
Jurgen Klopp stressed that Mohamed Salah is still involved in creating the largest number of opportunities in Europe.
Klopp added: “After a while, when you look at Salah’s career with Liverpool and see what he achieved in 4 or 5 years, you will know that he is one of the best strikers you can see in your life, because his numbers are crazier than normal.”
The German coach continued, talking about Mohamed Salah: “What made me happy against Tottenham, he scored two goals and then played the match as a real team player, his start may seem slow, but then he scored a hat-trick here and another there along with the decisive goals.”
Klopp concluded: “My English is not good to describe what Mohamed Salah offers.. But sometimes we need someone to finish chances in difficult matches, and this is what he often does.”
It is noteworthy that Mohamed Salah scored 6 goals with Liverpool in the English Premier League, during 13 participation.
