As part of its GeForce Beyond stream on CES 2023Nvidia has announced that its RTX 40 series is getting a new GPU in the form of the RTX 4070 Ti.

Using Nvidia’s new Ada Lovelace architecture, the RTX 4070 Ti is designed to succeed the RTX 3090 Ti graphics cards with improved performance and support for DLSS 3. Nvidia claims that the RTX 4070 Ti will perform up to three times faster than the previous flagship RTX 30, RTX 3090 Ti.

The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is the fourth card announced for the RTX 40 series since the announcement of the RTX 4090 and two variants of RTX 4080 — one with 16GB of memory and the other with 12GB of memory. In the latter case, Nvidia would “launch” GPU ahead of its November 16 release date. The RTX 40 series has also been the center of attention as the current flagship GPU, the RTX 4090, due to controversial connecting cable which melted for some users.

The RTX 4070 Ti will retail for $799. Nvidia plans to launch the RTX 4070 Ti on January 5th.
