Reports: Al-Ahly want to sign Trezeguet for Club World Cup

Today, Wednesday, reports in the Turkish press revealed that Egyptian club Al-Ahly wanted to sign Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet Trabzonspor player, for 6 months on loan until the end of the season.

Turkish newspaper karadenizgazete confirmed this Al-Ahli He wants to bring in Trezeguet at the end of the season to compete in the Club World Cup with the red team.

And the Turkish newspaper state that Trabzonspor will reject any bids to leave Trezeguet, who signed him at the start of the current season from Aston Villa in England and has been one of the most prominent players in the Turkish team in recent times.

Al-Ahly have signed the trio of Marawan Attia, Khaled Abdel-Fattah and Mohamed El-Dawy Christo to bolster their ranks during the current winter Mercato.

Al-Ahly’s club chiefs have set January 28 as the date to travel to Morocco to take part in the Club World Cup, which the Red Giants will kick off against New Zealand’s Auckland City on February 1 next month.

Al-Ahly have received assurances from the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) that Oakland City Club will participate in the Club World Cup, which will be held in Morocco from February 1 to 11.

Al-Ahly is participating in the 2023 FIFA World Cup for the eighth time in its history and third time in a row, while the Red Spirit participated in 7 previous editions in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2012, 2013, 2020 and 2021.
