The English club Liverpool has set as its main goal the Moroccan star Sofiane Amrabat, midfielder of the Italian Fiorentina, to include him in the upcoming winter transfer period.
Moroccan national team Amrabat have emerged as one of the stars to shine at the 2022 World Cup and have attracted the interest of several big European clubs.
And according to the British newspaper “The Sun”, Liverpool have made Sofian Amrabat their top target in the transfer window as they want to acquire his services along with England’s Jude Bellingham.
She added that Jurgen Klopp, the Liverpool manager, had already met with the Moroccan’s representatives, at a time when Liverpool were also keen to sign Borussia Dortmund and England star Bellingham.
She indicated that Amrabat is keen to move to play in the English Premier League and is said to have expressed an interest in a move to Liverpool.
Fiorentina are not averse to selling Sofiane Amrabat in the January transfer window, but have committed £40m to agreeing to the Moroccan star’s departure.
Amrabat is under contract with his club Fiorentina until 2024, with Tottenham and Atletico Madrid also keen on his services, according to media reports.
Sufian Amrabat participated with the Moroccan national team in the World Cup competitions and was able to lead the Atlas Lions to achieve a historic achievement that no Arab or African team had achieved before by qualifying for the semi-finals of the World Cup and finishing fourth.
