Reports in the British press reveal that Manchester United have more than one option to compensate for the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, the new star of Saudi Al-Nasr, including the inclusion of Cameroonian Vincent Abou Bakr, a striker of Al-Alami, on loan.
Ronaldo left Manchester United last November after terminating his contract by mutual consent with the club as a result of the crisis that erupted between the two sides.
Ronaldo, in turn, moved to Saudi Arabia on a free transfer until 2025.
Today, Sunday, the Daily Mail newspaper indicated that Manchester United are still looking for a replacement for Ronaldo in the winter transfer window, this January.
The famous newspaper adds that Manchester United have mainly targeted Markus Thuram, the Borussia Mönchengladbach striker, whose contract expires at the end of the current season.
In addition to the possibility of joining Thuram this January, Manchester United can sign the France international without approaching the Mönchengladbach administration, provided he joins at the end of the season as a free agent.
And the Daily Mail indicated that United could turn to the loan system to strengthen their ranks this winter due to the financial crisis.
And she concluded: “The most prominent options at Manchester United’s disposal are Memphis Depay, the Barcelona striker, and Vincent Abu Bakr, the Saudi Al-Nasr striker and Ronaldo’s new team-mate.”
