Today, Saturday, the Egyptian Basketball Association issued an official statement, in which it revealed 5 decisions against Al-Ahly and Zamalek, including the summoning of Spanish coach Auguste Bosch for an urgent investigation, in connection with the events of the Cairo derby.

Al-Ahly basket succeeded in defeating Zamalek (66-63), yesterday, Friday, in a match that brought them together in the second leg of the semi-final round of the Al-Mutawa League, season 2022-2023, to qualify to face Al-Ittihad in the final round.

The Basketball Federation issues 5 decisions against Al-Ahly and Zamalek

The Basketball Association revealed, through its official account on the social networking site, Twitter, 5 decisions against Al-Ahly and Zamalek, following what happened in the Burj Al-Arab hall, with an emphasis on holding the final match, without a public presence.

The decisions of the Basketball Association regarding the Al-Ahly and Zamalek derby came:

– Preventing Al-Ahly and Zamalek fans who were present yesterday, Friday, from attending basketball matches, for a period of 3 months, while notifying the “My Ticket” company of that.

Signing a fine on Al-Ahly, amounting to 30,000 pounds.

Signing a fine on Zamalek, amounting to 20 thousand pounds.

Al-Ahly and Zamalek bore the damages to the “Burj Al Arab”, according to what was approved by the hall in which the match was held.

– Conducting an investigation with Spain’s Auguste Bosch, Al-Ahly’s coach.

It is noteworthy that the final match will be held between Al-Ahly (the defending champion) and Al-Ittihad, after the Alexandrian team overcame its rival, Al-Jazira, in the framework of the semi-final round of the Al-Muttazz League.
