Some Pixel users on the T-Mobile network aren’t getting updatesThank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!
One of the reasons why many smartphone users choose to use a Pixel smartphone is the fact that they get timely Android OS and security updates. They are almost always the first to receive a major Android OS update when it is released. And usually the update comes like clockwork, almost as soon as a new month rolls around.
Unfortunately, that’s not the case for many Pixel users on T-Mobile’s network. And today, those frustrations came to light when many of those users reached out to them Reddit and the T-Mo website to voice their concerns.
Users in these threads seem to be complaining about the Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, and others. The issue also affects both carrier-locked and unlocked devices.
According to complaints, some users have not received a security update since two months ago. There are also some users who say they had to reset their device before the update worked. Obviously, this isn’t ideal and it’s not something that should be happening in the first place.
Hopefully T-Mobile will address these concerns and release an update for these devices soon.
