Samsung is working on creating the Camera Assistant app available for more devices according to a post made by a moderator in the company’s South Korea community forum. The brand will try to make Camera Assistant available for as many devices as possible and also release an announcement soon about the expansion schedule.

Launched in October this yearCamera Assistant is a module for the company Good lock app. It allows you to customize the behavior or camera settings at a deeper level than you can do with the standard camera app. In other words, it gives you finer-grained control over camera settings compared to the standard camera app, with some settings even returning after disappearing from Samsung smartphones over the past few years.

However, the Camera Assistant app has only been available for the Galaxy S22 series since its launch and many users have been asking Samsung to make it available for their devices. While the brand seems to have taken the feedback on board, we still don’t have a list of devices the app will be available for or its specific launch timeline.

Last month the company updated Camera Assistant with the ability to adapt the app icon to the phone’s wallpaper color, which is enabled by Android 13 dynamic icon feature. Lately Samsung too released the updated Expert RAW appallowing users to capture vivid photos of stars, constellations and dark skies.
