Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!NYXI, a manufacturer of gaming controller peripherals, recently announced a new third-party controller for the Nintendo Switch. The design is not only reminiscent of WaveBird — a.k.a. Nintendo’s best controller ever — but the company claims it will never receive that controller Joy-Con drift.
Ready? The NYXI WIZARD combines the retro look of our long-running NGC controller with a much more ergonomic design and works perfectly with any Nintendo Switch console.

The NYXI Wizard Wireless Joy-Pad is a wireless controller that features a range of customizations, including two remapable back buttons, in addition to interchangeable joystick rings. For example, you can use a round joystick to play racing games, or place an octagonal joystick circle on the controller when you’re about to play a fighting game. NYXI claims battery life of approximately 6.5 hours on a full charge.
One of the Wizard controller’s biggest selling points is the claim that it won’t suffer from Joy-Con drift. NYXI claims it can achieve this because the Wizard uses a Hall-effect joystick. For quick context, Hall effect joysticks use a magnetic system, meaning the joystick never physically touches the sensor itself. With Joy-Con drift one of the biggest current issues with the Nintendo Switchthis controller is sure to appeal to those looking for a solution to this problem.
The NYXI Wizard is currently available on the NYXI website and costs $69.
