Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk expressed his great admiration for Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne, explaining that he wished the Belgian international would be in the ranks of the Reds, and talked about what he wanted after retiring from football.

De Bruyne played for many years at Manchester City and is considered among the most important players in the Premier League in recent years already.

Van Dijk wrestled with De Bruyne in many of the big confrontations between Manchester City and Liverpool during all competitions.

Van Dyck said in comments reported by the British “The Sun”: “The person I’ve never played with but I love in Liverpool is Kevin De Bruyne. He’s unbelievable, and if he was going to play in Liverpool, we would have gone further than we did. He’s amazing, He’s good with the ball, presses high, scores a lot of goals, and has all the attributes of a midfielder and a footballer in general.”

Van Dijk spoke about his plans after retiring from football, saying: “I have not thought about my retirement from football yet. right Now”.

He added: “When the time comes to retire I will think about it, I would like to continue to be involved in football but I will try to live an anonymous life, of course in the beginning to have more time with my family.”

He continued: “Going to training immediately after I retire from football, it will keep me in a full life, but it is something I don’t see myself doing but I can’t say for sure.
