Al-Ahly Club has finished its preparations for the summit match against its traditional rival, Zamalek, in a match that will take place within the fourteenth week of the Egyptian League competition for the season (2022-2023).
Al-Ahly is scheduled to play Zamalek tomorrow night, Saturday, at eight thirty at Cairo Stadium.
And Al-Ahly go into the match on top, missing nine names, between injury, suspension or technical reasons, according to a source told ‘Yalla Koura’.
Swiss coach Marcel Kohler, coach of the Al-Ahly club, misses the services of his defender Mahmoud Metuali, due to the accumulation of yellow cards.
Due to the injury, Al-Ahly is missing defensive duo Yasser Ibrahim and Mohamed Abdel-Moneim.
Brazil’s Bruno Savio and Amr Al-Sulayah are also out through injury, while South Africa’s red team is missing Percy Thaw, who recently returned from injury, along with the trio of Mustafa Saad, Mohamed Maghribi and Mohamed Ashraf.
Al-Ahly are looking to get back to winning ways at league level after a goalless draw with Al-Masri Al-Port Said in the last round.
Al-Ahly leads the league standings with (31 points), one point ahead of the second-placed Future, but the latter played the round-robin match against Enpi, which ended with the victory of the former, with a score of (3-2) .
On the other hand, Zamalek also want to achieve their first win of the year (2023), with the white team failing in four matches (3 league matches and one Egyptian Cup match).
Zamalek lost to Aswan with a score of (2-1), then drew twice after that with Al-Dahiliyya with a score of (1-1) and Al-Ittihad of Alexandria without goals.
At the level of the Egyptian Cup, Zamalek bid farewell to the tournament (2021-2022) against Pyramids in the semi-finals with a penalty shootout (4-3), with the match ending in the first and extra time with a score of (1-1).
The Zamalek team is fourth with (26 points), a point behind the Pyramids, who beat Farko by a score of (3-0) in the round-robin matches.
